Royal Starr is the very definition of a top notch family resort! The owners/hosts couldn't be more accommodating and committed to their guests. Summer 2021 we introduced the FOURTH generation of our family to Royal Starr. We have been visiting for over 15 years, and it never gets old. Great location and plenty to see and do in the area, although you'll find yourself questioning why you'd even want to leave the resort! We love this place!
Spent the a relaxing fun week here. Came to fish but did so much more. Cary and Shelley are wonderful hosts. Our cabins were clean spacious and charming. The grounds are beautiful and the walking trail is peaceful. Paddle boards, canoes and kayaks are included. There is a herb garden to enhance your dinners and you need to practice during the week for the Friday Holey Board tournament. One of our group members won . If you and your family need the perfect family vacation with fun and relaxation this is the place to be.
Look no further! Make Royal Starr your resort. Cary and Shelley are gracious and so accommodating. The fishing is always fantastic...be sure to fish both 5th and 6th Crow Wing Lakes. The canal is easily navigated. Book the cabin!
The Royal Starr Resort is truly amazing! So peaceful, fun and beautiful!... also so clean! The cabins are immaculate and come with fresh flowers and homemade cookies! Cary and Shelley are the perfect hosts... checking in with everyone, socializing and making everyone feel at home. I would recommend this place to anyone! Thanks for the wonderful vacation!

Absolutely excellent! Great cabins, excellent grounds and a super sand beach with lots of water boats, etc for the kids. Fishing for largemouth bass and Pike was good. Very quiet. Good place to bird if you are into that. The owners are super nice and responsive.
I have stayed at this resort every year for over 40 years. The last 12 years with my husband for our anniversary and great times fishing. This resort is a great place to enjoy a peaceful time and fishing which we love. The owners are very kind and helpful. Everyone is welcomed by the owners on their arrival and you feel like family. The cabins and resort are maintained with great care. We look forward to our vacation time and anniversary at this resort every year. A must visit resort .
Beautiful resort! The cabins are gorgeous, updated, clean, with modern amenities. The property is quiet and peaceful. The lake had great fishing and very little traffic, it felt like we were the only ones on it. Perfect for skiing and tubing. The owners go above and beyond too make your vacation relaxing from the beginning, with fresh cut flowers and fresh baked cookies in the cabin upon arrival. We can't wait to go back again!!
